About St Michael's Pre-school Woolmer Green

Committed to the highest standards of pre-school education

St Michael’s Pre-school was established in the village more than 35 years ago. It is located in a stand alone, purpose built setting next to St Michael’s Woolmer Green Primary School. We moved into this setting in September 2012 following the expansion of the primary school. Within our setting we benefit from our own large, secure outdoor playground, garden and nature area.

Our setting provides children with a strong foundation to develop a growth mindset, become intrinsically motivated and have a true sense of self, with deep roots within the natural world around us. This extends into the wider community, to find out what makes them unique and capable learners. Play is at the heart of children’s learning, and it is our job, alongside parents to provide children with an enabling environment which ignites their passion for learning.
