My favourite children's book is The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
With 36 years childcare experience, I have worked as Deputy Manager at both of my previous settings and had 2 years nannying experience between the two.
As well as my enjoyment, experience & enthusiasm for working with children, I am also a mother to four children and now a grandmother to 2! I believe learning should be fun & every child brings something new to our setting & even after all these years, they never fail to amaze me .

My favourite children's book is Superworm by Julia Donaldson.
I have an NNEB diploma in childcare & a HNC in childhood studies. I worked as a nanny for 5 years & as a community nursery nurse for 9 years. I believe very strongly in children learning through play. I feel that it is important to encourage children to become independent learners, whilst being there to support & encourage them, building their confidence & sense of worth. I live in Woolmer Green with my husband & two children. I love spending time with my family & keeping active.

My favourite children's book is Five Minutes Peace by Jill Murphy.
I qualified in 2000 with an NNEB and started my career as a TA at a primary school. I then worked at a Nursery in Welwyn for 16 years before joining St Michaels Preschool in 2023. I really enjoy crafting with the children and watching them play and explore the outdoors. It's wonderful watching them grow and develop throughout their time at Pre-school. I have three grown up children and enjoy spending my free time with them and my nine grandchildren.

I am an Early Years Apprentice, currently retraining after a career break. I was previously a researcher at a business organisation in Westminster. I started working at St Michael's Preschool in 2023 & I love seeing children's natural curiosity & seeing their perseverance pay off to develop new skills.
I live locally with my family & enjoy spending my free time with family
& friends, gardening & being outdoors.

My favourite children's book is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.
I have recently started as an Early Years Apprentice at St. Michaels Preschool. I previously worked at a doctors surgery in Stevenage, but wanted to pursue a career in Early Years education. Seeing young children flourish and grow is a wonderful experience and I’d love to be a part of their journey, I am a mummy to two children whom I enjoy doing arts and crafts with, having outside adventures and taking our little Frenchie dog Roxy for a walk.

My favourite children's book is We're Going on A Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen.
I have been working at St Michael's since 2019 & deal with admissions, funding & all other administration. I have over 15 years experience working in administration & healthcare recruitment. My daughter attended the Pre-school & both of my children are now at St Michael's Primary. Being able to work locally, seeing familiar, friendly faces from the community & watching little ones joining the Pre-school & then move on to 'big school' is a privilege!
