Young in Herts is a partnership that represents a wide range of organisations and interests in early years education and childcare, working together to improve services for children and their families in Hertfordshire.
These organisations include a number of County Council departments, schools, District & Borough Councils, the Health Authority and Health Trusts, The Learning & Skills Council, Job Centre Plus, voluntary organisations such as the Pre-School Learning Alliance, National Childminding Association, day nurseries, out-of-school childcare, independent schools, employers and parents.
Hertfordshire Grid for Learning
The Hertfordshire Grid for Learning (HGfL) is a private network joining all of Hertfordshire's maintained schools, Education Support Centres, residential children's homes, Youth Programme Units and the Local Authority. The service was established and is supported as part of the UK Government's National Grid for Learning Strategy. The web site provides access to a suite of centrally purchased on-line services which support all phases and most areas of the curriculum.

The Parish Council's web site is a good source for local information and services. You can also find information about Woolmer Green Village Hall and Sports Facility, an excellent venue for social gatherings and parties. Booking enquires can be made through the site.
The Council meets monthly to discuss local matters, and members can be reached through the site too.
