We feel it is important to draw attention to this because many people may not grasp just what an effective way this is to generate money for the Pre-school, with little to no effort from yourselves. You will have already noticed the Amazon logo and a number of books on the left hand side of our pages, and even if you have read the small text that accompanies them, you might not appreciate just what a simple idea this is.
Amazon first became successful selling books, but their merchandise now covers a vast array of products from cuddly toys to diamond rings. One program they run is called Amazon Associates, where a web site can advertise any product on sale at Amazon, and if a sale is completed with Amazon then the referring web
Spring Walk to Mardley Woods
Thursday 30th April
Each year we make three walks to Mardley Woods to explore our local environment and observe changes to the environment as the seasons change.
At the end of April, together with our friends in Sycamore class in the main school, we walked to the woods to looks for bluebells and other signs of spring. We were delighted to find tadpoles in the pond and a beautiful blanket of bluebells throughout the woods. We finished the walked with songs in the clearing.
Many thanks to all parents and carers for accompanying us!
It would also be worth pointing out, any such purchases are completely anonymous - just in case you were concerned that we might discover your taste in music perhaps! So please take that extra few seconds to first visit our site and click on the Amazon logo or any of the book links should you wish to make a purchase with Amazon. After that, without needing to purchase the linked book if you don't require it, just search and shop as you would normally and you'll be helping to contribute to the facilities at the Pre-school, which in turn benefits all our children. Happy shopping, especially at Christmas time!

Christmas Nativity
Friday 12th December
Open Morning
Wednesday 20th May
Today we invited parents, grandparents and younger brothers and sisters to visit pre-school for a special session. The children sang beautifully to start the morning and then we all had fun playing in the sunshine.
All the pre-school staff and representatives from the pre-school committee were on hand to discuss pre-school activities and events. We finished the morning with juice, coffee and cakes!
The Fairytale Land Nativity Show
‘Once upon a time in fairytale land, it was nearly Christmas and Little Red Riding Hood had called together all her friends so that they could put on a nativity show.’
This year there was a twist to our Nativity production. All the characters were from Fairytale land!
The children once again excelled themselves by acting, singing and dancing their little hearts out. Parents, grandparents, friends and children from St Michael’s Woolmer Green Primary school were treated to an outstanding performance. As usual, we were treated to cakes, provided by the committee and parents, after the show.

Walk to the village post box and recycling area
Wednesday 19th November
As part of our topic, ‘people who help us’, we looked at the postal service and recycling.
The children designed and wrote their own postcards. Then on a crisp November morning, together with lots of parent helpers, we walked through the village to the post box. After posting our postcards we walked on to the recycling area to ‘post’ our bottles, jars and cans.
